People are here for the love of Hot Rods-Kustoms, Live music, burlesque, art shows, 50’s fashion, and of course the tattoo show covering three floors inside the ship. 280 of the best tattoo artists in the world will be on hand from 30 States and 25 Countries representing all the tattoo styles; where a car show and music become an integral part of the event, mingling with the artistic expressions of the artists at work. Pinups clad in corsets, Classic Cats with Pompadours, Mohawks, fashion Mullets, full sleeves and back pieces. Not only is the breathtaking view of the gigantic Queen Mary, the beautiful water, and the amazing Long Beach skyline quite a task to take in all at once, but all the fashion statements and lavishly adorned people are quite a spectacle as well. This convention will be both a sort of art gallery and community festival. Seven years ago the ship was overtaken by the underground subculture of all things Kustom and modified. From tattooing to pin striping and tantalizing show goers with tight corsets the 9th Annual Ink-N-Iron Festival is laced up and racing for port!

You have our upmost sincerest apology for the seriously screwed up line situation. This will never happen again!
And a Big Thank You for enduring it and making INI 2011 a really great year.
We have completely revamped the entry process to INI by tripling the amount of entrance gate areas. And eliminating bottleneck procedures like wristbanding each person twice; That’s right, NO MORE wristbands! We also eliminated scanning the wristband and person at different points, amounting to 4 procedures just to get in the gate.
You will simply purchase your printed event ticket at any of the 10 box office windows, proceed to any of the 10 scanning line cues to scan your person and ticket-at the same time-and you’re in the festival.
If you bought your ticket pre-sale online or at one of our fourteen retail locations; then you will proceed to your own gate entrance (#1), or any of the other two gates. Simply show your pre-sale printed ticket for scanning pass through the scanner and you are in.
The implementation of these measures will ensure your line time will be diminished to no more than 35 minutes at peak time on Saturday.
Gate Breakdown:
Gate 1; Exclusively for Hotel Guests and Pre-Sale Ticket Holders. Pre-Sale ticket holders can use any of the three (3) gates they chose for any reason, you must have your pre-purchased printed ticket with you for bar code scanning and immediate entry. We have added restrooms for your convenience.
Gate 2: Main Entrance will have eight (8) Box Office windows to purchase tickets, you then will proceed to any of the eight (8) line cues to have your ticket and person scanned. Enter and Enjoy! We have added restrooms for your convenience.
Gate 3: Village Entrance will have two (2) Box Office windows to purchase tickets, with two (2) entry line cues for scanning your ticket and person. This gate is especially convenient for those who get a parking spot in the QM Entrance Parking Lot. Restrooms are just inside and are part of the village.
If you choose to purchase alcoholic beverages; each bar area will have multiple hosts providing age verification services.
We hope that all of these measures will help to ensure a much improved Ink-N-Iron experience for you all.
